A poll released by EPIC-MRA of Lansing shows Mitt Romney ahead in Michigan by one point, 46 percent to Obama’s 45 percent. In an earlier poll by EPIC, President Obama was ahead, 47%-43%. These poll results show a major shift from Public Polling Policy’s poll released in late May, where Obama had a big advantage, 53%-39% over Romney.
According to the poll, Obama’s stance on same-sex marriage likely cost him 22 percent of likely votes. Both candidates are within the four point margin of error.
