    — Republican presidential candidiate Mitt Romney speaking at a campaign stop Tuesday at Sweetie-licious Bakery Cafe in DeWitt, Mich. The State News’ Rachel Jackson reports Romney emphasized his ties to Michigan and support for small businesses while criticizing President Barack Obama’s record on the economy.

    Romney also rebuked reports at a later campaign stop in Holland, Mich., that Florida Senator Marco Rubio was not being vetted as a vice presidential pick. In fact, “Marco Rubio is being thoroughly vetted as part of our process,” Romney told reporters.
