It’s no secret that politicians are busy people, but anyone can pretend to be busy to avoid a question. But how can you tell the difference?
In this video, Wausau man Wayne Olson, 73, questions U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy about raising the minimum wage in Wisconsin. Duffy is already headed toward the car when Olson approaches and the encounter between the two men is brief. Duffy politely tells Olson to make an appointment at his office and he would be happy to talk to him. He begins to drive off and leaves Olson talking to a closed car door.
The 37-second video clip is titled “Rep. Sean Duffy Running Scared From His Constituents,” but is that taking the situation too far? Robert Mentzer of the Wausau Daily Herald shares his opinion in his column.
