The fate of Rep. Roy Schmidt and House Speaker Jase Bolger could be in the hands of a one-person grand jury, if Michigan Democrats get their way. The rarely used one-person grand jury was successful in convicting a similar case in 2010 dealing with fake candidates.
Schmidt and Bolger are accused of of recruiting a fake Democratic candidate to challenge Schmidt in his bid to keep his House seat.
