Two new polls of Iowans, the first measurements of the general election race there in nearly a month, were released Thursday. They’ve clarified exactly nothing.
A Rasmussen poll conducted yesterday shows Romney with a 47-44 lead over President Obama, well within the poll’s +/- 4.5% margin of error. Rasmussen polled 500 likely voters in Iowa.
The research and consulting organization YouGov also released an Iowa poll today, which found Obama ahead 48-42 with a margin of error of +/- 4.2%. The YouGov survey was conducted online, between 9/7 and 9/14.
