The first swing-state voters are going to the polls in Iowa today, as the early voting season has begun.
In the 2008 election about 30% of the votes cast in Iowa were submitted before election day.
President Obama is currently leading Iowa by an average of nearly five points according to the RealClearPolitics average, and the early reports say the first-day turnout has been favorable for the president.
