President Obama has outspent Mitt Romney on television spots in Jacksonville, a sign the Obama campaign may see the conservative area as winnable.
From The Florida Times-Union:
“Jacksonville residents have a front-row seat for presidential election battle,” said Matt Corrigan, head of University of North Florida’s Political Science department, who wrote a book about Jacksonville politics. He said he has never seen Democrats come out so early in the city.
“There is no doubt the Obama folks are targeting Jacksonville,” he said.
