  4. President Obama criticized Republican candidate Mitt Romney at a campaign stop in Durham, N.H. on Monday for what he says is a history of outsourcing jobs.

"Gov. Romney’s commitment to outsourcing jobs is not just a part of his record," Obama said, "it’s part of his overall economic vision that he and Republicans want to implement if they win this election."

The Washington Post reported last week that Bain Capital invested in overseas companies while Romney ran it.

  5. First Lady Michelle Obama rallied supporters and spoke about the importance of the middle class in the 2012 campaign at speech Wednesday at Arapahoe High School in Littleton, Colo.
A crowd of 2,800 filled the school’s gymnasium, including many Littleton residents and Democratic party volunteers. Mrs. Obama emphasized the president’s continued focus on the middle class’s financial well-being, a theme his presumed rival, Mitt Romney, has also taken up in his campaign.
[[MORE]]She ticked off some of her husband’s biggest accomplishments while in office, including killing “the man behind the 9/11 attacks.”
Obama also pressed voters on turnout. Young voter turnout is expected to decrease in the 2012 election, a demographic that was pivotal for the president’s win in 2008. Prior to the event, attendees waiting to enter the gym were swarmed with Organizing for America volunteers urging them to register to vote.
"As Barack said, this election will be closer than the last one," Obama said near the end of her speech.
A small group gathered on a corner near the gym to protest Barack Obama’s handling of the presidency and the first lady’s appearance.
Obama has another event in Pueblo, Colo., a more conservative town, on Wednesday afternoon. The Obamas, including daughters Sasha and Malia, visited Pueblo just two days before the election in 2008.
Earlier this month, Michelle Obama stopped in two other  swing states, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
